Hiyashi Chuka (Cold Ramen)

Ingredients:

 

  • 3 packets Sapporo Ichiban Ramen Chicken flavor
  • 5 cups hot water (for cooking noodles)
  • 1 cup hot water (to dissolve seasonings)
  • 3 cups cold water (for soup)
  • 10-15 ice cubes
  • 1 cup imitation crab meat, shredded
  • 1 cup sliced cucumbers
  • 2 scrambled eggs, sliced into strips
  • 3/4 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 avocado, sliced


Directions

 

 

STEP 1

Boil the ramen noodles from all three packets in 5 cups of hot water for 3 minutes, then rinse with cold water to cool.

 

 

STEP 2

Dissolve the seasoning packets in 1 cup of hot water.

 

 

STEP 3

Add 3 cups of cold water and ice cubes to chill the soup base.

 

 

STEP 4

Divide the noodles among three bowls.

 

 

STEP 5

Add toppings: crab, cucumbers, egg, tomatoes, and avocado.

 

 

STEP 6

Pour the cold soup over each serving and enjoy!
